Using small groups, the Sunrise Healing Prayer Ministry trains interested persons about the work done by prayer ministers when praying with a person in need. The training helps persons examine their call from God for authenticity, and helps them clean up any hurts in their own souls left unhealed by life experiences. They meet the Holy Spirit and learn to rely on God for guidance in their own holy walk.

Several types of healing prayer are taught:
   Physical healing
   Inner healing
   Healing from sin such as addiction
   Spiritual healing
   Soul preparation for death

Level I is an Introduction, Level II moves deeper into spirit issues, and Level III helps the prayer minister find their own true self in God. The aim of the training is to enable participants to become fully used by the Lord to bring the kingdom of God to earth as it is in heaven.

After training, some persons join the alter ministry at Sunrise to begin to use their gifts in His holy service. All persons grow in their walk with Jesus from this training. The teaching is from personal experiences from the teachers and using DVD teaching tapes featuring Francis and Judith McNutt from Christian Healing Ministeries in Jacksonville, FL.
