MARIAN HOUSE BBQ
Saturday, May 18
We need your help for another successful BBQ!!
Serving Christ by Serving Others!
What is the Marian House?
The Marian House is a soup kitchen operated by Catholic Charities. It is located on Bijou St. across from St. Mary's Cathedral. They serve a free hot meal every day of the year to about 700 persons - no questions asked. Marian House depends on volunteers and donations.
Why Sunrise?
Why not? We have the opportunity to both serve Christ by serving others and to help change our world and lives.
What do we provide?
EVERYTHING - labor, food, tables, chairs, etc. Any food left over remains at the Marian House.
How can I help?
-
By your prayers that God's presence be felt through us all.
-
By your gifts. The BBQ is not a budgeted item, and its success depends on your gracious monetary donations and your time. Home baked cookies are also needed.
-
By your service. Help is needed on Friday and/or Saturday.
-
By your witness. Share God with those gathered. The day will change your life regardless of how long you volunteer.
Where can I get more information?
