When?

Dinner at 6:00 pm and Worship from 7:00 - 9:00 pm

Where?
Acacia Park in downtown Colorado Springs.

Who?
Presbyterians, Non-Denominational, Evangelicals, Methodists, Catholics, Baptists, The Rich, The Poor, The young, The old, The sinners, The sick, and many more. All are invited.

What?
A city-wide worship event.
For one night putting aside everything that divides us and focusing on what unites us.

Breaking down all the walls between churches in this city. Bands from several churches will lead us in worship, others will lead us in prayer and share scripture.  Come and enjoy a potluck dinner beforehand.  All are asked to bring food, not only for us, but for the homeless communities in the surrounding area who will be asked to join us in our meal and worship.

Why?
Imagine what could happen if just for one night we gathered in unity as the body of Christ, fed the poor, and in response, we worshiped God.  I really believe God wants to change this city. There is a growing homeless community right under our noses. It is easy to ignore what is going on around us, and even easier to write a check to some charity without even putting a face on where our money is going. 

A unique opportunity to:
Not only give money to the poor but to have dinner WITH them.
Not only a chance to preach the gospel to the poor but to worship WITH them.

When the rich come into contact with the poor and find out that they have kids too, and they have dreams and hope for a future, they like music, and tell jokes, that they are ordinary people like us, then I believe that the church as a whole will have a drive not just to give money to the poor but to embrace the poor and invite them into our midst like Jesus did. In other words, it becomes personal. It will be powerful when not only individual churches find this but when we as a body find this truth.

How?
With the help of the Body. We are looking for Churches to take over certain aspects of this event (sound system, powerpoint with screens and projectors, tables for food, security, etc.) as well as offering financial support or just having their representation at the event. We want everyone there regardless of how much you can give.
