- Our annual budget is prepared with input from all ministry areas. The Finance Committee then gives their formal recommendation of the budget for missions and outreach, education and discipleship, worship and music, buildings and grounds, and for other operating expenses and salaries to the Church Charge Conference for their final approval
- Each and every year, we undergo an independent financial audit of our books to ensure that we are acting as good stewards of our resources.
Making a Commitment: A critical step in developing our budget is finding out what you are estimating your gift to Sunrise will be for the upcoming year. By giving us an “Estimate of Giving Card”, you allow the church leadership to plan and prioritize for the coming year. Electronic Contributions: To find out how to have your contribution or building fund commitment contributed automatically from your bank account, click here for more information. Then just print and complete the attached form and return it to Sunrise Church so we can get you started.
Memorial, Honorarium, and other Special Gifts: Memorial gifts may be made in memory of a deceased person, as a living tribute in honor of an individual, or as an expression of gratitude for a particular blessing received. These gifts may be designated or non-designated. Families are notified that the contribution was made. For more information, contact Linda in the finance office.
Stock Donations: If you would like to donate stock, click here to for more information. Then please provide the completed form to your broker as well as a copy to Sunrise (instructions on the letter) so we can send you a thank you letter.
Matching Gifts Program: Does your company offer a Matching Gifts Program for non-profit organizations? If so, Sunrise UMC may qualify to receive those gifts.
