Marian House Soup Kitchen provides hot meals seven days a week, evey day of the year, to anyone who comes through their door at 14 W. Bijou St.
Serving: An average of 600-700 people every day, including struggling families, seniors on fixed incomes, the working poor, veterans, people with disabilities, unsupported teens, those who are homeless (only about a third of guests are homeless), and anyone who wants a good hot meal and some friendly conversation.
Operated by: A small Catholic Charities staff and approximately 30 volunteers a day from various organizations, churches, corporations, military, and individuals. Volunteers are always needed. Children are welcome (with parental supervision for kids under 14).
Hours: Mon-Sat 1030am -1pm, and Sundays 845am-10am.
