Sunrise Missions
Starting in 2012 and beyond, the Missions Committee is adopting a task-focused team structure. While this specialization scheme may evolve as we learn, the following teams are envisioned:
- Communication - responsible for publicizing mission opportunities and fund-raising events, as well as ensuring the widest possible celebration of missions accomplished.
- Opportunities - responsible for finding opportunities (maintaining contacts and partnerships), providing background info and resources for sponsored trips, and maintaining contact and care for long-term missionaries.
- Education - provide on-going information to the congregation, small groups, etc. Assemble and present training on selected topics. Maintain educational materials, library, etc.
- Finances - formulate and submit budget requests. Receive budget allocation and assist committee leadership with prioritization, reallocation, and funding alternatives.
