Happy New Year!

I hope that you all had a joy-filled Christmas and a safe and happy New Year's celebration!  We had a wonderful year-end at Sunrise!  You all invited and welcomed your friends, family, co-workers and neighbors to worship with you and worship they did!

We had over 2,600 people with us on Christmas Eve as we shared the light of Christ with all who came.  What a celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior!

But just because Christmas is over, it doesn't mean that we are done celebrating.  We are going to start off the New Year right and talk about how we have a fresh start in the New Year.  This weekend, we'll talk about our hopes, our dreams, and our opportunities for a new life in the New Year.

You won't want to miss worshipping with us.  Don't wait until Easter or next Christmas to reconnect with the body of Christ here at Sunrise.  Come and join us!  You'll be glad you did.

From Karen Wiensch:  Opportunity for a group to sponsor Fellowship Time this Sunday, Jan 4.  Quite a lot of goodies left to use.  Call Karen at 498-7013, ext 28.

Sports Ministry:  Basketball / Volleyball.  Sundays starting 1/11 in Fellowship Hall.  Basketball 2:30-3:30pm.  Volleyball 3:30-4:30pm.  All ages welcome.

Walking: Sat, 1/24, 8:30-9:30am.  Meet at Chapel Hills Mall Food Court.  Coffee after walk.

Bowling:  Plan on starting soon on a weeknight and/or Sundays.  Contact Gary Wiensch if interested, garyw@sunriseumc.com.
