 Helping neighbors in need by empowering them with Christ's love.  Northern Churches Care (NCC) provides emergency physical, financial, and spiritual help in the name of Jesus.  They improve the lives of low-income families, the working poor, and those experiencing and unexpected calamity by helping people move from crisis to hope.

NCC was founded in 1982 by a group of churches working cooperatively.  Many member churches support NCC by providing volunteers, monetary gifts, and donation of food pantry items.  Program costs are also supplemented through partnerships with individuals, community organizations, and foundations.  NCC serves 14 zip code areas, which includes 71% of the population of Colorado Springs and 50% of El Paso County.

Assistance programs include food, rental & utility assistance, clothing & transportation vouchers, medical& prescription co-pays, pastoral nurse, legal advice, budget counseling, and tax preparation.  Seasonal events include Health Fair/Back to School (August), Thanksgiving Baskets (November), and Home for the Holidays Adopt-A-Family (December).  NCC also provides spiritual support through prayer and by connecting individuals & families to caring Christian communities.
