Springs Rescue Mission - Demonstrating the Love of Christ with programs that make a difference. Feeding the hungry, helping the poor, transforming lives.
Everyday, the Springs Rescue Mission reaches out to the hungry and homeless, working poor, and addicted in Colorado Springs, providing free meals, emergency food and clothing, drug and alcohol rehabilitation, education, career advancement, and spiritual training. Their message is hope-and their goal is to change lives. Not simply a soup kitchen, they see to offer long-term solutions to poverty. Springs Rescue Mission serves more than 2500 meals each week, and these meals often open the doorway to hope for a better life through life changing resources.
Programs include:
New Life Men's Program - a one year residential recovery program, including counseling, career training, and education in key areas of essential life skills.
Samaritan's Kitchen - evening meals with a Gospel message, monthly Food Box distribution to struggling families, summer lunch programs for underpriviledged children, catering for other non-profit ministries in need, special holiday events, and 6 month or 2 year Culinary Arts certification programs.
Food, Clothing, Essential Items - includes shoes, blankets, personal hygiene items, housewares, furniture, appliances, counseling, referral services, and transportation assistance.
